- IT SHOULD HAVE HIGH COP.
- IT SHOULD HAVE HIGH LATENT HEAT OF EVAPORATION SO THAT LESS REFRIGERANT IS REQUIRED.
- LIQUID REFRIGERANT SHOULD HAVE LOW SPECIFIC HEAT AS IT IS DESIRABLE DURING THROTTLING AT EXPANSION VALVE. IT ENABLES THE REMAINING LIQUID TO BE COOLED AT THE EXPENSE OF PARTIAL EVAPORATION I.E FLASH OFF IN THROTTLING PROCESS.
- IT SHOULD HAVE HIGH CRITICAL TEMPERATURE, SO THAT CONDENSING BECOMES POSSIBLE EVEN AT HIGH TEMPERATURE AT COMPRESSOR OUTLET.
- IT SHOULD HAVE LOW/MODERATE TEMPERATURE AFTER COMPRESSION SUCH THAT OIL DECOMPOSITION AND OVERHEATING OF COMPRESSOR IS LESSER.
